Head Teacher, Ronwen Smith making speech for the opening of the new classroom.
Dear Gail
Linden Bridge is a school for children and young people with autistic spectrum disorders.
We are recognised by Ofsted as an outstanding school and are always looking for ways of improving our service.
The money for the project came from a Government grant in recognition of our Specialist School Status. Achieving this status means that we will be able to work with other schools to improve standards of education for their pupils.
The extension of the teaching block was planned to address the need for a large social area which could also serve as a computer base. We needed a good size floor space that was relatively inexpensive and quick to erect. Both these criteria were fulfilled by the company. There was very little disruption and the work was carried out efficiently and with regard to the comfort of our vulnerable pupils.
The finished product has exceeded our expectations. The wood cladding fits in with a nearby building and the space we have gained is exceptional.
We have been able to have a bigger building because we chose to use recycled material and the pupils have watched the process with interest.
I would certainly recommend Mo-vita and would use them again for future projects.
