FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1 - Why consider buying a Mo-Vita Modular unit?

Mo-Vita construction makes sense – mainly on financial and schedule reasons. When your office, shop or home is built offsite as a module in a controlled environment you get a better product at a reasonable price delivered faster. Mo-Vita comes with 15 years of experience in designing and building custom modular and traditional-built homes. Mo-Vita produces a custom-built modular unit for the client on schedule, on budget, saving you time and money.

2 - How does a customer benefit from Mo-Vita building offsite?

Construction is Faster: Mo-Vita modular start-to-finish build times are reduced inside our off-site controlled environment. We act against adverse weather by deploying rain protection covers at our production facilities, with more offsite monitoring done than onsite giving you better Quality Assurance. Your onsite disruption and littering of your premises during construction are minimized.

3 - How much will customer pay when buying a Mo-Vita unit?

Mo-Vita modular construction save you money throughout all customer levels of desired finish and specification. It is impossible to provide a single price, but, we can say that a Regular modular finish may be built for £750 / sq m (£70 / sq. ft) excl VAT & delivery. Mo-Vita modular build techniques reduce construction times by 30%-50%, depending upon the unit specified, and time is money. Customers can get a UK 20-year insurance-backed guarantee, meaning peace of mind and writing off investment costs over a longer product lifespan.

4 - Are Mo-Vita modular buildings energy-efficient?

Mo-Vita units are more energy-efficient and low maintenance cost than traditionally-built products. Modular units incur lower electricity and heating bills because Mo-Vita fits your units with fibreglass or Celotex insulation and double-glazed impact-resistant windows thermal-efficient in cold or high wind locations. Look at the Thermal U-values – Mo-Vita units are 0.25 to 0.35 W/m2K. This is some 30-50% more efficient than a typical UK home or office.

5 - How strong are Mo-Vita units?

Our modules are stronger and more durable than many bricks-and-mortar products. Mo-Vita units use strong steel-frame skeleton structures that are built to last at least 60 years – they will not warp under damp conditions like some timber-based buildings. These steel-frames hold the module together rigidly; outperforming timber-based units in extreme weather conditions. Our wide variety of scratch-resistant Phenolic exterior cladding is guaranteed by the manufacturers for a minimum of 25 years. Wood or plastic-based units may fade, break or rot over 8-10 years. Mo-Vita can give customers a UK 20-year insurance-backed guarantee of quality.

6 - Can we transport Mo-Vita units across UK?

Yes, our building units are strong and able to dismantle within 24 hours per module. These units are better internally-supported and can be transported across the UK on a flat-bed truck with crane. This cannot be done on most timber-based or bricks-and-mortar buildings which lack portability.

7 - How long would it take to build a Mo-Vita unit for me?

Our building units are designed to be constructed rapidly within 1 month from start to finish for a regular module, depending upon complexity of the customer’s requirements.

8 - How long would it take to install a Mo-Vita unit on my site?

Generally, our building can be installed within 24 hours per module, provided that the ground has been levelled and prepared beforehand, and that electricity and water utilities are ready for connection.

9 - How can I expand my Mo-Vita units in the future?

Mo-Vita units are built with steel walls and ceilings that enable easy horizontal bolting together, or vertical load bearing limits up to 7 units high. This upward stacking is more space-efficient than many modern accommodation units, especially those made from timber. Mo-Vita outperforms many products and designs in flexibility and expandability in response to customer’s future requirements.

10 - Can Mo-Vita module design allow bespoke tailoring of building?

Yes, Mo-Vita also provides custom-built design based upon requirements. Based upon the Customer Requirements Study, and an onsite Survey, we can offer 3-D computer designs and 2-D floor-plans to give the client more flexibility than before.
