Kate and Mat needed office space outside the home, they wanted it in two sections, office at the back with kitchenette at the front. They had a very tight budget and five key areas to focus on;
- Portability - As their family needs changed they wanted to be able to move the unit around the garden or sell it.
- Functionality - They wanted to be able to change its use at some time in the future to have bed or bathroom facilities.
- Efficient - Low cost to run and maintain.
- Secure - Something that couldn't be broken into easily as it would be in an isolated area of the garden.
- Timing/Disruption - They wanted the office now and did not want workmen onsite for weeks.
